France Organizes Special Flights to Repatriate Citizens from Morocco Amid Travel Suspension

Since last Wednesday, the Moroccan authorities have decided to suspend air links between Morocco and France until further notice. As a result, the French embassy is asking its nationals, Moroccans residing in France and others wishing to go to France, to contact the airlines Transavia, Air France, or even Royal Air Maroc or Arabia to make the necessary arrangements.

These nationals and other residents will have to examine the modalities of their return to France, especially since this is subject to certain conditions that any traveler can consult on the website of the French Ministry of the Interior. The embassy stresses that a few special flights continue to be organized to make the repatriation of French citizens, Moroccans residing abroad and other residents possible from several cities in Morocco, with the authorization of the Moroccan authorities.

As for those wishing to go to Morocco from France, they are advised to postpone their trip until further notice. The embassy and the general consulates strongly recommend that people who need to return to France and meet the conditions for admission to French territory make their reservations as soon as possible. However, a sea crossing can be made on a ferry from the "La Méridionale" company on Saturday, April 10, 2021. The departure will be from Tanger Med in the late afternoon (the exact schedule will be specified later), for an arrival in Marseille on Monday, April 12, 2021 in the morning, the embassy specifies.

Registration is required per vehicle and per person (the ferry is also accessible to passengers without vehicles and a mandatory form is available on the embassy’s website for anyone wishing to use this link. Any registration made outside of this form or with incorrect information cannot be taken into account.
