French Comedian and Journalist Clash on Twitter Over Islamic Extremism

Saturday 4 January 2020, by Ginette

Zineb El Rhazoui has not finished collecting enemies. As she was "presenting" her wishes on Twitter, the journalist received a jab from one of her main opponents, Yassine Belattar, who wished for her to disappear in 2020.

"May the year 2020 be that of the victory over Islamic fascism, and may France be the country where it will be defeated," the journalist tweeted. The response was immediate and comes from Yassine Belattar who did not like the content of the message. "Inch Allah you’re not there in 2020," he replied.

As could be expected, Zineb El Rhazoui’s response was quick and in the same vein. "The comedian of peace and love, Yassine Belattar, presented me with his wishes: my disappearance inch Allah (vengeful deity whose punishment he fears). He hates me therefore for being freed from the yoke of his imaginary Allah. I wish you, Yassine Belattar, emancipation in 2020".
