French-Moroccan Comedian Yassine Belattar to Debut in Morocco Amid Controversy

French-Moroccan comedian Yassine Belattar is meeting his Moroccan audience on September 27 and 29 in Casablanca and Rabat. This is the first time the artist is reaching out to his fans in Morocco.
Comedian, host, columnist, Yassine Belattar is no longer to be presented. Very well known for his outspoken positions on certain issues, he has been at the heart of many controversies in recent years. Threatened with death several times, he also found himself in court for complaints related to some of his media statements, reports Challenge.
So many difficulties that made him decide to stop his comedy career this year. But he doesn’t intend to do it without a stopover in Morocco. "I am getting more deeply involved in Morocco in certain affairs, especially in Marrakech. I am not someone who gets involved halfway, moreover the projects I am leading there require that I be constantly present in the coming months," said the comedian.
Yassine Belattar will leave the comedy scene at the end of the year, but he will remain available for the younger generation. His latest show entitled "En marge" will tour France, many other European countries, and of course Morocco. "I have always accepted the idea of being a marginal artist. Because of my convictions and my commitments, I have made the choice to have a particular career. Believe me, it’s not the worst place to be able to say what we really think. On the contrary, I’m doing very well with it and it’s even a source of pride for me."
He will also address the eternal question of living together in France which, according to him, "has deteriorated considerably." Yassine Belattar promises a final tour of the stage that will adapt to current events in France. He does not forget his Moroccan origins which will be part of this highly anticipated one-man show on September 27 at the Studio des arts vivants in Casablanca and September 29 at the Bahnini hall in Rabat.
