French Celebrity Chef Praises Moroccan Cuisine During Marrakech Visit

During a recent visit to Marrakech, the French chef Cyril Lignac, owner of the gourmet restaurants Le Quinzième and Le Chardenoux, was charmed by Moroccan cuisine.
"One of my favorite cuisines," writes Chef Cyril Lignac in an Instagram post on the sidelines of his recent visit to Marrakech. He took the opportunity to taste several iconic Moroccan dishes such as Tajine, Bestilla and the essential Moroccan mint tea. In a video he shared on social media, he is seen preparing the famous tafarnout bread, a type of traditional bread made in particular in the Souss region.
He is also seen baking the bread in a clay oven, known as a tafarnout, hence its name. Lignac also admired the beauty of Marrakech. He went to discover Jemaa el-Fna square, a square and market in the old medina of the city.
The famous chef Cyril Lignac is the owner of the gourmet restaurants Le Quinzième and Le Chardenoux. He is also a pastry chef and a renowned television personality. He owns several other restaurants, including La Pâtisserie Cyril Lignac, a high-end pastry shop, and Dragon, an Asian fusion cuisine restaurant. He owes his fame to shows like Oui Chef! and Le Meilleur Pâtissier. Lignac has published several cookbooks.
