French and Moroccan Forces Conclude Joint Air-Land Military Exercise in Ouarzazate

From May 23 to June 3, 2021, French and Moroccan soldiers trained in the Ouarzazate region. This bilateral military exercise is part of the good relationship maintained by the French Army General Staff with the Royal Armed Forces.
Jointly organized by France and Morocco, this "ALAT/FAR 2021" air-land exercise, involving several units from the two countries, aims to strengthen the interoperability of the air-land means of the Moroccan Armed Forces and others from the 4th Airmobile Brigade of Clermont-Ferrand, i.e. 120 soldiers from the 3rd and 5th combat helicopter regiments, 1 Gazelle helicopter, 2 Tigre helicopters, 2 Caïman helicopters, 2 Puma helicopters, said the French Embassy in Morocco. As for the deployment of French personnel and equipment, they benefited from the help of an A400M aircraft.
The maneuver designed from a classic scenario, allowed to carry out exercises with operational firing from the air vectors put in place. Taking advantage of these few days of exercise, the French Ambassador to Morocco, Hélène Le Gal, had discussions with military authorities in the operational sector of Saghro and the inspection of the Royal Air Forces.
