New French Ambassador Christophe Lecourtier Arrives in Morocco

A week after the announcement of his appointment, Christophe Lecourtier has arrived in Morocco to take up his post as the new French ambassador to Morocco.
The French diplomat arrived in Morocco on Monday evening. "Welcome, Mr. Ambassador," tweeted French diplomat and ministerial advisor Arnaud Pescheux. Christophe Lecourtier is replacing Hélène Le Gal whose mission in Morocco was cut short by a call to other responsibilities.
Former CEO of Business France, the appointment of the new ambassador was made official on December 16, during the official visit to Morocco of Catherine Colonna, the French Foreign Minister. A visit during which she also announced the return to "normal consular relations".
