France Appoints New Ambassador to Morocco, Signaling Diplomatic Reset

Announced a few weeks ago as the successor to Hélène le Gal as ambassador of France to Morocco, Christophe Lecourtier is officially called to join his post in Rabat.
The visit of Catherine Colonna, French Minister of Foreign Affairs, seems to have unblocked many pending files. She had mentioned the "restoration of a normal consular relationship".
"After 5 years as Director General of Business France, my term is coming to an end. President of the Republic Emmanuel Macron, Prime Minister Elisabeth Borne and Minister of Foreign Affairs Catherine Colonna have appointed me Ambassador of the French Republic to the Kingdom of Morocco," Christophe Lecourtier announced on his Twitter account.
Before being called to new functions, Christophe Lecourtier was the Director General of Business France. This expert in developing international investments in France, should, according to Africa Intelligence, "restore the thread of diplomatic-economic relations between Paris and Rabat".
