No Free Appointments, Only Paid Slots: France Visa Problem Persists in Morocco
A French MP has alerted the government to the persistent difficulties encountered in Morocco when trying to obtain a visa appointment. Despite several anti-fraud measures, appointment slots are reportedly still being seized and offered for payment by intermediaries.
Socialist MP Pascale Got questioned the French Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs in a written question published on September 22 in the Official Journal.
She reports numerous accounts describing the extreme difficulty, or even impossibility, of obtaining an appointment with TLScontact to submit an application for a short-stay visa.

The problem particularly affects French nationals and people residing in France who wish to receive Moroccan relatives: parents, children, brothers or sisters.
Several measures have nevertheless been introduced to prevent the seizure of appointment slots, including CAPTCHAs, prepayment and the gradual opening of appointments.
Appointments Still Being Offered for Payment
These measures do not appear to have resolved the problem. According to the question published by the National Assembly, applicants continue to report the absence of available slots and the use of intermediaries offering paid appointments.
This situation would create inequality among applicants and lead some families to give up their plans to visit France.
