France’s Coach Renard Faces Criticism Ahead of World Cup Clash with Morocco

The coach of the Blues Hervé Renard, who was also the former coach of the Moroccan men’s team, is under fire from critics before the match between the Lionesses of the Atlas and France in the round of 16 of the women’s World Cup taking place in Australia and New Zealand.
As in the semi-final among the men in Qatar in 2022, the round of 16 of the Women’s World Cup will pit Morocco against France. A few days before the kick-off of this match scheduled for next Tuesday, Hervé Renard responded to former international Melissa Plaza. She criticized him on his talk before the second match of the Blues France-Brazil (2-1). "I am myself," the coach of the Blues tells L’Équipe. "If it’s to do things differently, it’s no use coming to get me, even if I have to adapt to different characteristics. I respect her opinion, I don’t know if it’s out of real conviction or if it’s to get a bit of buzz. It doesn’t disturb me," reacted the coach of the Blues.
He says he is willing to change his attitude if his players ask him to. "I asked them the question, if ever I was not on the right track, they would tell me. There are strong characters in this team, they wouldn’t hesitate to let me know. My character, some like it, some don’t. Sometimes, being a bit too blunt
