France to Alert Domestic Violence Victims When Abusers Leave Prison

Very soon, victims of domestic violence in France will be systematically informed of the release from prison of their violent spouse or ex-spouse, announced Éric Dupond-Moretti, the French Minister of Justice, after the death of Bouchra Bouali, the Moroccan stabbed to death by her ex-partner in Épinay-sur-Seine (Seine-Saint-Denis).
Bouchra, the 44-year-old Moroccan woman killed on Friday, November 26 by her ex-partner freshly released from prison, might still be alive if she had been informed of the release of the latter. This
