Former Troyes Assistant Gharib Amzine Set to Join Morocco National Team Staff

The name of former international Gharib Amzine, current assistant coach of Troyes, is strongly cited for the position of assistant coach of the Moroccan national football team. The technician would have been contacted by Walid Regragui, successor to Vahid Halilhodzic, to assist him in his new functions.

The information is not yet official. Walid Regragui will be presented to the press this Wednesday, according to the FRMF schedule. And it is on this occasion that he must unveil his staff, in which Gharib Amzine will figure, reports L’est Eclair.

Amzine should thus leave his position as assistant to Bruno Irles, coach of Troyes, which he has held since the beginning of the year. The person concerned would have already contacted the management and informed them of his decision to leave the Troyes club to join the Moroccan national football team, the same source points out.

However, the former Troyes football legend must sit on the bench one last time on Wednesday evening in Monaco before joining the Moroccan selection on Thursday.

For this new challenge, Gharib Amzine has a lot of experience. Former versatile midfielder of Estac between 2001 and 2008, he notably played three matches of the 1998 World Cup with Morocco.
