Former Soccer Prodigy Hachim Mastour Released by Greek Club, Career in Limbo

The time when he was touted as a future star of world football is over. Moroccan player Hachim Mastour has just terminated his contract with the modest Greek club PAS Lamia, or perhaps it’s the other way around.
In a message posted on its website, the Greek football federation announces the end of the contract between the player and his team, currently 9th in the local championship. We don’t know where the young player, who many already qualify as a "wasted talent", will land.
Hachim Mastour had arrived a few months ago in Greece and had signed a contract until June 2021 to try to relaunch his career after bitter failures in Spain and the Netherlands. Yet the young player was predicted a brilliant future when he was still at AC Milan, his training club.
A few days ago, the Greek club had complained to the Greek Football Federation about the player’s disappearance and his absence from training since December 3. The latter was, according to his parents, being treated in Italy for injuries, and the expenses were covered not by the club itself but by his relatives.
At 20 years old, will the player be able to find the strength to return to the forefront after several failures?
