Former TV Personality Sentenced to 8 Years for Child Abuse in Morocco

Sentenced in the first instance to 8 years in prison, Félix Ramos saw this sentence confirmed on appeal, Thursday, by the criminal chamber near the court of appeal of Tangier. He would have sexually abused minor residents of a Moroccan-Spanish orphanage.
His arrest dates back to June 2019, following a complaint from one of his victims, now 19 years old. Félix Ramos would have sexually abused the young Tangier resident when he was still 14 years old. The accused is also being prosecuted for "human trafficking", for the illegal sale of certificates and medals in the name of many institutions, in Spain and Morocco, recalls Alyaoum24.com.
The accused, a photographer and television presenter who was quite well known in the entertainment circles, had gone to the headquarters of the association "Ningun Niño Sin Techo". To lure his victims, he had posed as the owner of a television station in Marbella, Spain and took celebrities with him.
In his statement, the young plaintiff indicated that he had accompanied Félix Ramos to his hotel room where he was raped that day. He also claimed to have suffered the same fate during the accused’s visits over three years. According to association activists, the man, in addition to satisfying his sexual appetites, forced his victim to have relationships with other people.
At the end of the trial, the rapist was sentenced on appeal to 8 years in prison and to pay a symbolic dirham to the Moroccan Association for Human Rights (AMDH).
