Former Operation Warp Speed Chief Resigns Amid Sexual Harassment Allegations

Following his dismissal from the GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) group, Moncef Slaoui published a letter relayed by the American media. The immunologist was fired following the receipt of a letter containing allegations of sexual harassment and inappropriate conduct towards a GSK employee.
In his letter, Dr. Slaoui indicates that it is with deep regret that he takes note of GlaxoSmithKline plc’s decision regarding his dismissal from the chairmanship of the Galvani board of directors. "I have the utmost respect for my colleagues and I am sorry that my actions have put a former colleague in an uncomfortable situation," he regrets.
He also apologized to the employee concerned while expressing his deep sorrow for "any distress caused." To his wife and family, he also expressed his sadness and promised to bring about new changes. "I will work hard to redeem myself with all those impacted by this situation."
Finally, Moncef Slaoui announces that he is taking "a leave from his current professional responsibilities with immediate effect, to focus on his family life."
