Former Olympic Driver Mohamed El Aiyate Found Safe After 8-Day Disappearance

Mohamed El Aiyate, driver of the stars during the Paris Olympics and former candidate in the 2024 legislative elections in the Oise, missing since August 23, reappears.
The end of an enigma that has unfolded over the past eight days. The relatives of Mohamed El Aiyate, 57, an activist who became a driver of the stars - he has notably escorted Zinédine Zidane and Prince Faisal of Jordan - during the Paris Olympics, had not heard from him since August 23. His apartment had been found with the door open, his keys, his phone and his car left on the spot. He had also left a letter in which he confided his distress. His family then alerted the police to his disappearance. The public prosecutor had opened an investigation for worrying disappearance and had entrusted it to the gendarmerie brigade of Auneuil. "His diabetes and the distress expressed by Mohamed El Aiyate before his departure are as many elements of concern that go in the direction of a continuation of the searches," had explained the public prosecutor of Beauvais, Frédéric Trinh. An important search device had also been set up.
But on September 1st, it is the epilogue. Mohamed El Aiyate finally returned home on Sunday evening, reports le Courrier Picard. Frédéric Trinh, the prosecutor of Beauvais, confirms this information, without however providing any details. A relief for Mylène Bapaume, a friend and running mate of the former candidate (Ecology in the center) for the 2024 European elections and the 2022 and 2024 legislative elections in the second constituency of the Oise. She does not know what happened. "I don’t know any more, what matters is that he came back safe and sound. It’s not easy to understand, maybe he needed some distance?" she rejoices with Le Parisien.
