Former Morocco International Abdeslam Ouaddou Named Head Coach of MCO

Algerian Abdelhak Benchikha is leaving his position as coach of Mouloudia Club d’Oujda (MCO) to Moroccan international Abdeslam Ouaddou.
During a press conference broadcast on the club’s Facebook page on Tuesday, MCO President Mohamed Houar said the now former coach did not wish to extend his contract as head of the MCO. He expressed his thanks to Abdelhak Benchikha for having invested himself in the service of the club. He then explained that the Moroccan international was chosen because he has the professional and personal qualities sought after. In addition, he has received solid academic training and enjoys international player experience.
With this recruitment, the officials aim to reorganize the club in order to make it more efficient over the next three years. The president of the MCO also thanked the players and the technical staff of the club for having kept the promise to be among the top five in the Botola Pro D1 ranking.
The new coach was part of the national team between 2001 and 2010. He has also played for several European teams such as AS Nancy-Lorraine, Valenciennes and Rennes in France, Fulham in England, Olympiakos in Greece and Lekhwiya and Qatar SC in Qatar.
