Moroccan Football Club Faces Costly Dispute with Hospitalized Coach Ouaddou

The divorce between Mouloudia d’Oujda and coach Abdeslam Ouaddou could turn sour and lead to a standoff if the two parties fail to find common ground.
The Disputes Commission of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation and the Court of Arbitration for Sport could be called upon to settle this dispute between the two parties. While the national team coach Ouaddou is still hospitalized, the leaders of MCO, now the lantern of the Botola, have negotiated with the Spaniard Juan Pedro Benali to replace him.
This decision cannot be made without the club and Ouaddou reaching an agreement. If the current coach of the club agrees to turn the page, the MCO will have to pay him nearly 9.6 million DH, representing the full four years of salary. According to Le360, the leaders of the MCO have committed, in the event of unilateral termination of this contract, to pay him this amount, in accordance with the clauses of the contract.
The same source, however, recalls that with the financial crisis of the club, it could not pay this fortune to Abdeslam Ouaddou. As for the young coach, he has hinted that he is not yet willing to be replaced, it is specified.
