Former Moroccan PM Warns of Iran’s Role in Destabilizing North Africa

The former Head of Government, Saad Dine El Othmani, accuses Iran of arming the Polisario against Morocco->96869], warning of a destabilization of the Maghreb.
Reacting on his Twitter account to the intelligence report, according to which the drones held by the Polisario militias have been delivered by Iran, to strike Morocco, the former official considered that if the information proves to be true, it is a dangerous development for the Maghreb.
This statement by El Othmani follows the declarations of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nasser Bourita who condemned, on Monday, the actions of the Iranian regime against the territorial integrity of Morocco and Yemen.
The proliferation of armed non-state actors "is a threat to peace and security at the regional and international levels," he warned, stressing that the countries arming these actors with sophisticated technologies must assume their full responsibility before the international community.
"Iran cannot continue to exploit this loophole to undermine security and stability in the Arab region, particularly in Yemen, the Middle East and North Africa," the minister continued, specifying that Morocco is also a victim of this interference.
