Former Moroccan PM Benkirane Hospitalized with COVID-19 Complications

The current Secretary General of the Party of Justice and Development (PJD), Abdelilah Benkirane, was transferred late Tuesday night to the military hospital in Rabat for complications related to his Covid-19 infection.
Tested positive for the coronavirus last week, the PJD leader had reassured his supporters. In a statement, Benkirane had indicated that he was doing well, that his health condition did not cause "any concern" and that he was following the anti-Covid therapeutic protocol to the letter, reports Hespress.
According to a source close to the PJD member, his last public appearance dates back to his participation in the funeral of one of his friends, his hairdresser, in the Akkari district in Rabat.
