Former Moroccan Basketball Federation President Faces Corruption Charges

It all started with the complaint of a member of the FRMBB against the former head of the federation. He accused him of dishonesty, embezzlement and squandering of public funds. Following this accusation, the judicial police of Rabat summoned the accused and two other members of the FRMBB to give their versions of the facts.

Referred to the Court of Appeal of Rabat, the investigating judge considered that there were enough elements to demonstrate that the former president and another person had diverted and wasted public funds. According to him, the 3rd defendant also participated in these crimes in view of the detailed and in-depth investigation elements that lasted more than three years.

According to the same daily, the judgment is expected on October 19 before the criminal chamber of the court of first instance in charge of financial crimes. In addition, a similar new file has recently been transferred to the court by the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
