Former Moroccan MP and Two Women Detained in Death Investigation at Politician’s Villa

A former MP, former president of the urban commune of Béni Mellal, and also leader of the Mouvement Populaire (MP, opposition) party, and two young women are being held in custody as part of a case involving the death of a young woman at the former MP’s villa.
It’s getting complicated for Abdelaziz Chraibi, and two young women, involved in the death of a young woman whose body was found in the home of the MP leader in Béni Mellal. On Wednesday, the Attorney General of the King near the Court of First Instance of the city ordered their detention. They were incarcerated in the local prison of Béni Mellal, reports Assabah. The three accused face serious charges: "human trafficking for the purpose of sexual exploitation, failure to assist a person in danger, possession of drugs and facilitation of their use by others, debauchery and homosexuality." After their interrogation, the public prosecutor’s office transferred the case to the Court of Appeal. The latter in turn entrusted it to the investigating judge for investigation.
Last Sunday, Béni Mellal was shaken by the death of a 20-year-old woman whose body was found in the villa of Abdelaziz Chraibi. The mother of the deceased had received a phone call from two young women telling her that her daughter had fainted in the former MP’s home and had given her the address of the villa. At the scene, "I found my daughter lifeless, on the ground, surrounded by the two girls and the former MP, who did not assist her by calling the emergency services," recounted the mother of the deceased, distraught by the tragic disappearance of her daughter.
