Former Judo Champion Rizlen Zouak Set for MMA Title Bout Against Gisele Moreira

The former Franco-Moroccan judo champion Rizlen Zouak, who has switched to MMA, will face the Brazilian Gisele Moreira in a rematch as part of a special event.
Rizlen Zouak is back in the ring. The rematch between the formidable Brazilian Gisele Moreira (12-5-0) and her should take place on December 15, 2023 at the Palais des Sports Marcel Cerdan located in Levallois (France) as part of the Ares 18 event. The main stake of this duel is the first Ares bantamweight title. Each fighter will try to win this title.
Rizlen Zouak was born on May 14, 1986 in Beaune (Côte d’Or) to a French mother and a Moroccan father. She comes from a family of fighters. Her maternal grandfather was an English boxer, and several of her maternal uncles practiced Greco-Roman wrestling. At the age of 6, she discovered judo. A discipline she has practiced for years. Success is within her reach. The Franco-Moroccan is a three-time African judo champion (2012, 2013 and 2015).
In 2016, Zouak switched to MMA. "I didn’t know this sport. And when I saw the videos, I liked it. Before the 2016 Olympics, I went to his gym for my physical preparation. I watched the guys train and I joined right away. I learned MMA by observing, my brain spontaneously memorized the different techniques," she told the terrafemina website. The following year, she knocked out her opponent, South African Jacqualine Trosee in 30 seconds. Her next challenge is to take on Gisele Moreira, who had beaten her by TKO at Ares FC 2 in December 2021.
