Former Casablanca Stock Exchange CEO Arrested in Investment Fund Fraud Case

After her arrest on Saturday, June 20, Hynd Bouhia, the former CEO of the Casablanca Stock Exchange, currently in custody for "breach of trust, abuse of corporate assets and fraud" in the Green Innov Invest (GNII) fund case, will be brought before the prosecutor on Monday, June 22, 2020.
The management company Global Nexus that she runs is the subject of referrals to the AMMC (financial markets regulator) and criminal complaints for "embezzlement" filed with the prosecutor’s office near the court of first instance in Casablanca in the Green Innov Invest (GNII) fund case, reports Le Desk.
The police had issued an arrest warrant against Hynd Bouhia. Since last December, she has been banned from leaving the national territory. An investigation had been opened in this case.
The former CEO of the Casablanca Stock Exchange had promised to repay the colossal sum collected from investors for innovation projects but used for personal purposes. But she has not been able to honor her commitments so far.
