Former Assu 2000 CEO Faces New Allegations of Sexual Misconduct in Morocco

A former ASSU 2000 employee in Morocco has just given damning testimony against Jacques Bouthier, indicted on May 24 and incarcerated for "human trafficking" and "rape of a minor".

Trouble is in store for Jacques Bouthier, the former boss of the Assu 2000 group. Each day brings new revelations since his incarceration. The latest comes from an employee who would have been fired from the company in November 2021, after rejecting the advances of the former CEO. She explained to BFMTV that the company’s managers played the role of recruiters, and that Jacques Bouthier’s attitude "was known to everyone", but "no one reacted" because "the group was him, he ran everything".

Around twenty years old, the young woman explains that she started working in 2017 in the Assu 2000 offices in Tangier. "During my training, the company’s managers told me that I was clearly Jacques Bouthier’s type". This was the beginning of a long ordeal for the young woman who recounts that during a visit to the Tangier offices, the former CEO would have made unprofessional comments on her physique in the middle of a meeting. "What a beauty, what a beautiful chest," he would have said.

A few months later, during a reception at the French Consulate, Jacques Bouthier would have renewed his advances, each time facing the refusal of the employee. But she will soon be sidelined as being a "stubborn woman" who "is useless". Desperate, she sends a message to Jacques Bouthier in November 2021. "Don’t worry, we’ll sleep together and everything will be better," the former CEO replied by text.

The young woman explains that she "directly" refused the businessman’s advances. In response, she received a new SMS from Jacques Bouthier, much more insulting than the first one. "You bitch, you’re going to get out of here". She will be fired the next day. Informed of the arrest and incarceration of her former boss, this former employee has decided to file a complaint in France for sexual and moral harassment, reports BFMTV.

At 75 years old, Jacques Bouthier is one of the richest men in France. The day after his legal troubles for "human trafficking" and "rape of a minor" and "possession of child pornography", he announced his resignation from his position as CEO. Five alleged accomplices were also indicted and placed in pre-trial detention.
