Former French CEO Jacques Bouthier Under Investigation for Rape and Human Trafficking

The Jacques Bouthier case, named after the former CEO of the insurance brokerage group Assu 2000 (renamed Vilavi), imprisoned in France for "rape of a minor", is an enigma that Moroccan and French investigators are trying to solve.
This case had erupted when a 22-year-old woman filed a complaint at the police station in the 19th arrondissement of Paris on March 15 against Jacques Bouthier, accusing him of raping her between the ages of 16 and 22. According to her testimony, the latter had offered her paid sexual relations. A compromising video of just over a minute allowed the former CEO of the insurance brokerage group Assu 2000 to be indicted for "sexual assault".

In total, six people have been indicted, and most have been placed in pre-trial detention, it is specified.
In Morocco, a procedure is also underway in Tangier after seven former employees filed a complaint for sexual harassment between 2018 and 2022 against Jacques Bouthier and several of his collaborators, reports Franceinfo. Two men, a Frenchman and a Moroccan, were indicted on July 17, bringing the number of people indicted in this procedure for sexual harassment to eight. Six of them were placed in pre-trial detention and two others were left free. The authorities are actively searching for one of the main suspects who would be on the run.
