French Business Tycoon’s Sex Scandal: Morocco Court to Resume Hearing in Trafficking Case

The Tangier Court of Appeal has decided to re-examine on October 6 the "Jacques Bouthier" case, named after a French boss at the heart of a sexual harassment scandal in Morocco and France.
The eight defendants in Morocco are all employees of the Tangier branch of the Assu 2000 group, now Vilavi. They are accused of "human trafficking", "sexual harassment", "indecent assault" and "verbal and moral violence".
The Jacques Bouthier affair is one of the biggest scandals in recent years, splashing one of France’s biggest fortunes. He has been incarcerated for a few months for "rape, sexual assault, pimping of minors in France and Morocco, as well as for possession of child pornography, misuse of corporate assets, receiving and money laundering in an organized gang".
The Moroccan victims are former employees who, supported by their lawyers and the Moroccan Association for the Defense of Victims, have asked the Moroccan justice system to order a letter rogatory in France regarding the former boss of Vilavi.
