Football: The Palestinian national team cancels its training camp in Morocco
Blocked by air traffic disruptions related to the conflict in the Middle East, the Palestinian national football team has canceled its training camp in Morocco. Its friendly matches against Mauritania and Benin will not take place.
This decision follows the significant travel difficulties in the region, caused by the American-Israeli strikes on Iran. Many airport closures for security reasons have indeed seriously affected air traffic through several major transit hubs in the Gulf.

The selection led by Ihab Abu Jazar was initially supposed to face Benin on March 27, then Mauritania four days later. This gathering was part of the preparation for the 2027 Asian Cup scheduled in Saudi Arabia.
The Palestinian Football Association justified this cancellation by the impossibility of completing the logistical arrangements necessary for the travel of its delegation. "The safety of the players and technical and administrative staff remains our absolute priority," the governing body said in its statement.

The majority of the players making up the Palestinian squad currently play in the Gulf championships. Given the current conditions, they risked facing major difficulties in traveling, while other football activities are also experiencing disruptions throughout the region.
