Five Killed in Separate Incidents Across Morocco on First Day of Ramadan

As in previous Ramadan months, the "Tramdena" or "mramden" phenomenon marked the first day of fasting. In total, 5 people were killed on Sunday, April 3 in Casablanca, Safi, Marrakech and Sidi Bouzid.
Several people fell victim to "tramdina" on the first day of Ramadan. In Casablanca, a divorced woman was killed in the Errahma district by a man to whom she owed money and was unable to repay, reports Assabah. In Safi, a 39-year-old man killed his wife who had left the marital home due to marital conflicts. In Marrakech, an unauthorized tourist guide stabbed his friend, also a tourist guide, in the medina of the ochre city, following a dispute over a piece of shira. Transferred to the emergency room of the Marrakech CHU, the victim succumbed to his injuries.
A crime was also committed in Sidi Bouzid on the first day of Ramadan. Here it is a double murder. The inhabitants of the El Bahara douar, near the seaside resort, discovered the bodies of a wife and her friend just after the breaking of the fast. The husband, the perpetrator of the crime, tried to commit suicide by jumping from the second floor. It was the cry of a daughter that alerted the neighborhood. "My father killed my mother and her friend," the little girl screamed. The alleged murderer had bruises on his head and fractures in his spine.
