Five Children Killed in Tragic A7 Highway Crash in France’s Drôme Region

A serious road accident occurred on Monday, July 20, on the A7, near Albon in the Drôme. The toll is five dead (five children) and four seriously injured, all of Maghreb origin.
According to the facts, Tasnim (3 years old), Maryam (8 years old), Anfal (11 years old), Youcef (12 years old) and Rayan (14 years old) are the five children who died in this serious road accident. Yacine, who was driving the vehicle, Badradine, an 8-year-old child and 2 mothers (2 sisters) are the four survivors. The child in a coma, the two women in critical condition, are all admitted to the Edouard Herriot hospital in Lyon.
Rachid (46 years old) is the father of Maryam and Youcef and the husband of one of the survivors. Informed, he went to his wife’s bedside. Azzédine Gaci, president of the Islamic cultural association of Villeurbanne, Kamel Kabtane, rector of the Grand Mosque of Lyon and Ayache Omari, interim consul of Algeria in Lyon, accompanied him.
"I accept this ordeal, because it comes from Allah. I just want to go bury my two children in Algiers and come back quickly to accompany my wife who is fighting for her life," resigned Rachid. The Algerian consulate in Lyon has decided to take care of the repatriation of the bodies to Algiers.
The two sisters are the wives of Rachid and Yacine. The latter lost three of his children in this serious road accident.
