Olympic Bronze Medalist Amir Richardson Set for $10M Move to Fiorentina from Reims

The summer transfer market is heating up for Amir Richardson. The Moroccan midfielder, who just won the bronze medal at the Paris Olympic Games with Morocco, is about to leave Stade de Reims.
According to information from the newspaper Le Parisien, Fiorentina and Reims have reached a principle agreement regarding the transfer of the 22-year-old player.
La Viola would have made an offer exceeding 10 million euros, with a percentage on the resale, in order to secure the services of the young Moroccan talent. This amount should allow Reims to recover a nice sum and complete some transfers this summer.
While the financial agreement is almost finalized, it remains to convince Amir Richardson to commit to the Italian club. Ajax Amsterdam, another serious contender, would also have expressed interest but does not seem able to compete with Fiorentina’s offer, the same source believes.
Amir Richardson was imperial with the Atlas Lions during the Paris Olympics matches. Indispensable in midfield, he was one of the revelations of the tournament and undoubtedly one of the players who will have to be counted on in the coming years.
