FIFA validates the arrival of a player in the Moroccan national team
The change of sports nationality of Sami Bouhoudane is now official. The star striker of PSV Eindhoven has definitively opted for Morocco, abandoning the Netherlands after the validation of his file by FIFA on Friday, March 13.
The international body has formally ratified the player’s change of association. According to the official FIFA records, Sami Bouhoudane is leaving the Dutch federation (KNVB) to join the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF). The decision was made on March 13, 2026.
At only 18 years old, the striker is a pure product of the Eindhoven training center, a club he joined in 2018. He has quickly established himself as one of the most serious offensive prospects of the Dutch club, climbing the ranks thanks to remarkable efficiency in front of the goal.
This officialization confirms the information initially reported last week. For the Netherlands, the loss of this closely watched element in favor of Morocco is a blow and demonstrates the strategic success of the Moroccan federation.
