FIFA validates the arrival of a Belgian gem with the Atlas Lions
On March 25, 2026, FIFA validated the change of sporting nationality of Saif Eddien Lazar. The Jong Genk striker is now officially available to the Royal Moroccan Football Federation for upcoming events.
The official documents confirm the transition of the 19-year-old player. Saif Eddien Lazar is leaving the Royal Belgian Football Association to definitively join Morocco. This football gem, born on December 11, 2006, comes to strengthen the offensive sector of the Atlas Lions after confirming his choice.

Currently under contract with the Belgian club of Jong Genk, which he joined in March 2024, Lazar plays as a striker in the Challenger Pro League.
In parallel with this major qualification, Morocco is securing its pool with the rallying of five dual-national internationals playing in the Netherlands. Led by Oualid Agougil (Jong FC Utrecht), this contingent marks a major generational turning point, notably including the talented captain of Feyenoord’s U21s, Ayoub Ouarghi.
