FIFA Unveils ’Al Hilm’: High-Tech Ball for World Cup Semifinals and Final

FIFA has presented "Al Hilm", the official ball for the last four matches of the World Cup, including the one between Morocco and France.
Designed by Adidas, "Al Hilm", which means "the dream" in Arabic, is an "innovation that provides the video referees with real-time information that optimizes decision-making," the FIFA said in a statement.
This connected ball, which will be used from the semi-final that pits Morocco against France, Croatia against Argentina, is the first to "exclusively use water-based inks and glues." The design features "golden hues and triangular patterns" that evoke "the desert expanses of the Doha region, the color of the FIFA World Cup trophy and the Qatari flag," it is noted.
