FIFA Selects Morocco, Spain, and Portugal to Host 2030 World Cup

The 2030 FIFA World Cup will be played under the colors of Morocco, Spain and Portugal. This is what the FIFA Council decided on Wednesday, unanimously selecting this tri-national bid. The Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) did not hide its enthusiasm, promising a "memorable" edition that will celebrate "the diversity and history of the competition".
This unanimous decision was hailed by the acting Spanish Prime Minister, Pedro Sanchez, who sees it as "very good news and a source of great pride". The RFEF did not fail to emphasize "the confidence of FIFA" and the rigorous preparation of the three countries, while affirming their ambition to "prepare the best edition of all time".
King Mohammed VI expressed his satisfaction with this decision, which "recognizes Morocco’s special place in the concert of great nations", congratulating Spain and Portugal, while recalling Morocco’s commitment to work closely with the two other host nations.
The particularity of this 2030 World Cup is that it will be played across six countries on two different continents, uniting Africa, Europe and South America with Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay also in the running.
