FIFA Appoints Argentine Referee Facundo Tello for Morocco-Portugal World Cup Quarterfinal

FIFA announced on Friday the refereeing team for the quarter-final match between Morocco and Portugal on December 10 at the Al-Thumama Stadium in Doha, Qatar.
It is the Argentine referee Facundo Tello, assisted by his compatriots Ezequiel Brailovsky and Gabriel Alfredo, who will officiate on Saturday, December 10 at 4 pm (Moroccan time), the match between Morocco and Portugal. At 40 years old, he has been officiating at the international level since 2019.
In charge of the VAR, we find the Argentine Mauro Vigliano who will be assisted by the Spaniard Ricardo De Borgos and the Argentine Diego Bonfa. The match between the two teams promises to be thrilling.
This is not the first time the two have faced each other in the World Cup. In 1986 in Mexico, Morocco had beaten Portugal (3-0). In 2018 during the World Cup in Russia, the Moroccan national football team was eliminated by the Portuguese team with a score of 1-0. The Moroccans, so close to the goal, will want to take revenge on the opposing team. The Portuguese, on the other hand, will cling on to honor their reputation in football.
