Fez-Meknes Region Invests 666 Million DH in Rural Road Development Projects

As part of the program related to the reduction of territorial and social disparities in rural areas (2017-2023), 666 million DH will be invested to carry out 85 projects related to the development of rural roads and tracks in the Fez-Meknes region.
The Regional Council has indeed announced the realization of 85 projects related to the development of rural roads and tracks. With a total cost of 666 million DH, the realization of the various infrastructures will change the appearance of the region.
The 85 projects represent 61% of all the projects planned as part of the program related to the reduction of territorial and social disparities in rural areas (2017-2023), at the regional level, according to data from the Regional Council. To date, 47 projects are underway.
Furthermore, the Regional Council stated that the other operations programmed in this framework concern the drinking water sector (36 projects for 230 million DH), rural electrification (36 projects for 83 million DH), education (8 projects for 75 million DH) and finally health (4 projects for 7 million DH).
In total, the financing of the program related to the reduction of territorial and social disparities in rural areas for the Fez-Meknes region amounts to 6.83 billion DH.
