Fez Health Officials Debunk Viral Video Claiming Coronavirus Case at Chinese Restaurant

The Ministry of Health has formally denied the content of a video that went viral on social media, in which a woman claims that the first suspected case of coronavirus has been detected in a Chinese restaurant in Fez.
"Be careful, they have detected the first case of coronavirus in this Chinese restaurant," a woman says in a video recorded near a Chinese restaurant in Fez. In this video, we can see the Chinese restaurant "Grande Muraille" and an ambulance parked at the entrance of the building.
"They found a case of coronavirus here. The Chinese who entered the country are affected by the disease. A man fainted inside the restaurant," the woman told another person in the neighborhood, also urging everyone to cover their nose to avoid infection.
The provincial delegate of Health in Fez formally denied this information. He also stated that the city’s hospital had not received any patient showing symptoms of coronavirus.
"These are just lies. [...] The director of the restaurant, who is Chinese, had a fever, so I called the ambulance. When the doctor saw him, he told us that he was simply suffering from the cold," the restaurant’s staff chief told Morocco World News. He said the restaurant director will file a complaint against the woman who spread these rumors.
