Morocco Reports No Confirmed Coronavirus Cases, Debunks Rumors

The Ministry of Health, in a statement, indicated that no coronavirus contamination has been recorded so far in Morocco. The three suspected cases detected were only suffering from seasonal flu.
Good news for the Kingdom, which continues to remain on maximum alert, as far as the coronavirus epidemic is concerned. The three suspected cases, detected by the National Epidemiological Surveillance and Monitoring System, were a false alarm. The ministry, reports MAP, insists that rumors of cases of infection by this new virus are "unfounded".
To avoid infection by this disease, and to prevent the transmission of respiratory viruses in general, the ministry recommends that citizens strictly observe the usual hygiene rules, such as washing their hands regularly, covering their mouth and nose in case of coughing or sneezing, and avoiding close contact with sick people with symptoms of respiratory infection.
The ministry assures that it is constantly monitoring the situation in order to keep the public regularly informed of any new developments on this subject.
