In Fès, a brawl between two families turns into murder
A new homicide has struck the city of Fès. A violent nighttime altercation with bladed weapons, opposing two families in the Bourenbate neighborhood, resulted in the death of one man and several injured.
The tragedy unfolded around one in the morning, marking the second crime of its kind this week in the city. A fierce confrontation pitted brothers Anouar and Hamza S. against Mohamed and Othmane B. During this brawl involving bladed weapons, Mohamed B. was gravely wounded in the heart. Transferred urgently to the Hassan II University Hospital Center, he died despite the efforts of doctors. His brother Othmane, wounded in the left wrist, continues to receive care at the hospital.

Alerted by the severity of the incident, police officers and local authorities quickly intervened at the crime scene. This deployment enabled the immediate arrest of the main suspect, Anouar S., while intensive searches continue to locate his brother. To clarify all the circumstances of this deadly confrontation, the competent prosecutor’s office supervised the opening of an official investigation.
