New Ferry Service to Connect Spain’s Motril and Morocco’s Tanger Med Ports

Morocco Cruise Line has announced the imminent launch of its link between the port of Motril in Spain and the port of Tanger Med in Morocco. In the short term, it also intends to connect the port of Algeciras to Tanger Med.
Morocco Cruise Line has completed the steps to launch its new link between Motril and Tanger Med. The company announced on its official social media accounts that a delegation will soon travel to Granada to officially launch this service.
This new link will be served by the ship Eurocargo Napoli. Built in 1995, it measures 175 meters long by 24 meters wide, has a capacity of 120 units per trip, and can reach a speed of 19.5 knots.
In its expansion plan, the company has also planned the link between the port of Algeciras and that of Tanger Med, reports El Estrecho Digital. In this context, the company would have already contacted the port authority, pending a formal session to present the project to it and quickly undertake all the necessary steps to put this line into service, which is currently served by five other shipping companies.
