Fatal Knife Attack in Laâyoune: Suspect Arrested After Woman Found Dead in Home

In Morocco, a woman suffered serious injuries from a knife attack and died. A man was arrested by elements of the prefectural judicial police service in the city of Laâyoune.
It all started with the discovery of a woman’s body inside her home, bearing many signs of serious injury. The preliminary investigation reveals that the suspect was participating in an alcohol-fueled evening at the scene of the incident, with the victim. Intoxicated, he is said to have physically assaulted her with a knife, leading to her death.
Pending the resolution of this case, the suspect was placed in custody, along with the two other people who were also in a state of intoxication.
