Far-Right Vox Party Opposes Moroccan Workers in Andalusian Hotels Amid Labor Shortage

The spokesman for Vox in the Andalusian parliament, Manuel Gavira, expressed his disagreement on Wednesday with the proposal by the president of the Cádiz Hotel Association (Horeca), Antonio de María, to recruit Moroccan seasonal workers to make up for the labor shortage in the sector in Cádiz.
"It is not acceptable" that Moroccan citizens should be brought to work in the Andalusian province where the unemployment rate is the highest, said Manuel Gavira, during a press conference.
For the spokesman of the far-right party in the Andalusian parliament, the solution to the labor shortage lies rather in the enhancement of the waiter’s profession and the promotion of training in hotel trades, as well as in an improvement of wages and better compliance with labor legislation.
