The Moroccan Consulate in Las Palmas was attacked last weekend by individuals who vandalized the plaque on the wall of the building.
The act would have been committed by militants of the far-right party Vox, who were holding a "congress on illegal immigration and Islamism in Europe" in the city at the same time, reports El Confidencial Digital.
During this congress attended by the party president, Santiago Abascal, protesters denounced the ideals of the political formation. "Canaries without fascism", "the Canaries will be the tomb of fascism" can be heard in the streets.
