Far-Right Vox Party Seeks Ban on Moroccan Imams in Spanish Enclave of Ceuta

The Spanish far-right party Vox no longer wants Moroccan imams in Ceuta. In this sense, it plans to table a bill in the Assembly to ban them from practicing their activity in the city.
The leader of the far-right party Vox, Santiago Abascal, will present this bill during the next plenary session of the Ceuta Assembly, reports the website El Faro de Ceuta. To justify his approach, he had in the meantime stressed "that there were politicians and some citizens who served the interests of the Kingdom of Morocco both by action and by omission".
According to the far-right party Vox, "the vast majority of imams who practice their activity in the mosques of Ceuta are directed and hired by the Moroccan Ministry of Islamic Affairs". This formation had moreover proposed that these "Morocco-paid imams" be replaced by others "appointed by entirely Spanish and independent organizations from other countries".
