Far-Right Protesters Rally at Moroccan Embassy in Madrid Over Ceuta Migration Crisis

An extreme right-wing group called "the Phalangist Youth" organized a demonstration near the headquarters of the Moroccan Embassy in Madrid on Tuesday to protest the massive arrival of migrants in Ceuta. One of the protesters tried to burn the Moroccan flag.
The extreme right is getting involved in the migration crisis currently shaking the Spanish enclave. A total of 500 people, mostly of Spanish nationality, participated in a demonstration organized by "the Phalangist Youth". Among them, other activists belonging to other fascist groups and military veterans loyal to the far-right party VOX.
The protesters were waving Spanish flags and chanting: "This is not immigration, it’s an invasion!", "Against Islam, radical action!", "Moors, get out!", "This is our land, we must defend it!" In the process, one of the protesters tried to burn the Moroccan flag, but he was stopped in his tracks by a plainclothes policeman and other uniformed officers. He will be released after an identity check and a search of his backpack.
Since Monday, 8,000 migrants - including 2,000 minors - have illegally reached Ceuta. A major migration crisis against the backdrop of a diplomatic crisis between Morocco and Spain. The kingdom has still not digested the emergency admission of the Polisario leader, Brahim Ghali, in a hospital in Logroño, under a false identity.
