European Club Ends Pursuit of Moroccan Star Hakim Ziyech

While it had started discussions with the agent of Moroccan international Hakim Ziyech, a European club has just canceled everything. The player will therefore not sign.
Hakim Ziyech’s future seems to lie far from Turkey. Galatasaray, his current club, is open to a departure, and his agent is actively working to find him a new team before the end of the winter transfer window. Olympiacos, in Greece, had been mentioned as a possible destination, but the club has ultimately closed the door to this option.
Several factors motivated Olympiacos’ decision. Coach Rui Vitória is said to have expressed reservations about Ziyech’s defensive involvement, a crucial element in his game strategy. The transfer cost, which would exceed 3 million euros, also weighed in the balance. Finally, the Moroccan player’s medical history, marked by several injuries, was an additional obstacle for the Greek club.
Ziyech and his representatives must therefore quickly find a new destination. Although rumors mentioned the interest of several European, American and Arab clubs, it must be said that for the moment nothing has really been finalized. However, negotiations could accelerate in the coming days, as the winter transfer window ends in early February in most countries.
