Escaped Moroccan Sex Offender Captured in Milan After Intensive Manhunt

A Moroccan was arrested on Saturday in Milan, two days after his escape. This asylum seeker will be deported to Switzerland and then to Morocco.
The Zurich cantonal police announced that a dangerous detainee who escaped on Thursday from the closed section of the Rheinau (ZH) psychiatric center has been arrested on Saturday in Milan. Intensive searches were required to locate the fugitive.
This 33-year-old Moroccan is known to the police. He has in particular been convicted of sexual offenses. The detainee escaped on Thursday after being granted permission for a short outing.
This rejected asylum seeker will have to be deported from Switzerland to his country of origin, Morocco. The detainee is considered a dangerous man with no fixed abode in this European country.
