Egypt’s President Hails Morocco-Israel Normalization as Step Toward Regional Stability

In a message posted on his Facebook account, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al-Sissi welcomed the agreement to normalize relations between Morocco and Israel. For the Head of State, it is a sign that heralds good days for regional stability and cooperation.
The agreement to normalize relations between Morocco and Israel was welcomed by the Egyptian president, who congratulates the peace initiative undertaken by King Mohammed VI. Abdel Fattah Al-Sissi believes that this initiative is very important because "it helps to ensure more regional stability and cooperation", reports aa.com.
A statement from the office of King Mohammed VI announced that this initiative "will not affect Morocco’s permanent and constant commitment to defending the just Palestinian cause, and its placement on the path to establishing a just and lasting peace in the Middle East region".
In the Arab world, Morocco joins the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Sudan, which had announced on October 23 the approval of normalization, leaving the responsibility of concluding an agreement in this regard to the next legislative council not yet elected. The four countries mentioned above join Jordan and Egypt, which signed peace agreements with Israel in 1994 and 1979 respectively.
