EasyJet Passengers Stranded in Marrakech After Last-Minute Flight Cancellation

A bad surprise for the passengers of the EasyJet Lyon-Marrakech flight. "We arrived at the airport at 6pm, as requested. On site, we were informed that our flight to Lyon had been canceled," explains Vanessa, a traveler from Saône-et-Loire, contacted by telephone by Le Progrès. A few minutes later, the company sends her a simple email to confirm the situation.

"We are really sorry that your EasyJet flight 4480 from RAK to LYS on 16-09-2024 has been canceled," the message states. Her friend Florence, also from Saône-et-Loire, and the many travelers from the region did not receive any further information. "We (her friend and her) and many other passengers, we didn’t have any other information and we had to fend for ourselves. Especially since the solutions proposed in the email were not suitable for our situation," laments Vanessa.

According to her, no one from the company was there to help the travelers. "We had to book a flight on another airline, which is due to take off this Tuesday evening, to finally be able to return to Lyon. I don’t know how the other passengers will do to get back and I hope we will be reimbursed for all these additional costs," added Vanessa.
