EasyJet Expands Morocco Operations with New Partnerships and Flight Routes

The British airline Easyjet is considering increasing its investments in Morocco. In this sense, two partnership agreements were signed on Wednesday in Marrakech with the Moroccan National Tourist Office (ONMT).
On the sidelines of a visit made this week to the ochre city, at the invitation of the ONMT, the company’s executives unveiled their ambitions for Morocco. Johan Lundgren, CEO of the airline, and Gary Wilson, CEO of Easyjet Holidays, signed two contracts, relating to the winter programming of the Easyjet group in Morocco, according to an ONMT press release.
The office also announced the signing of a more important partnership over several years that will be signed in the coming weeks and which will record the significant increase in capacity and the opening of new lines to several Moroccan destinations. These various agreements are part of the company’s development plan, which is seeking to position itself on high-potential destinations, including Morocco, the same source specifies.
"The objective of this future partnership will be to consolidate Easyjet’s presence in Agadir and Marrakech, but also to imagine the common strategic partnership that will allow Easyjet to develop on other Moroccan destinations and to connect the kingdom to the 34 European markets from which it already operates," said Adel El Fakir.
